Björn Mummert wrote music in several styles as music for jazz-/pop choirs (see Helbling Musik Verlag) or sacred choral music as the amazing "Credo in Deum" from 1995.
In 2004 his Oratorio "Finis ab origine pendet" came to a successful performance in the cathedral of Schleswig.
He also wrote a lot of music for theatre play in Hamburg (St.Pauli Theater) and Schleswig (Schleswig-Holsteinisches Landestheater). Once a year his music accompanies the yearly new viking-theatre play of the "midgaard skalden" in Schleswig.
As a musician he is playing the bass-guitar and passed a lot of bands during his life. Actually he is part of "Liaison" together with Kurt Buschmann and Hartmut Naumann (the only Kirchenmusikdirektor of Germany playing popular music).
