Paul Gelsomine

In a career that now spans over three decades, Paul Gelsomine has long since emerged as an extraordinary innovative force, a singular voice whose music remains determinedly well beyond the fads and fashions of todays popular culture. He is well known among those who enjoy the work of this maverick, the artist who has never quite made the big time, yet whose career has included many highlights. While he has been a favorite with critics over his 30 years in the game, many record buyers may be unaware of him, unless they read the song writing credits on other artist’s albums, where his sir name occurs frequently. Born Paul Gelsomine in New York in 1953, he was raised in a small town that clings to the eastern border of The Big Apple, separated by the muddy East River from the somewhat greener pastures and smoother roads of Suffolk County, NY.
Working as a performer (a drummer, banjo player and singer) on the US and European Country and Folk circuit, eventually ending up in Norway in 1990, where he now resides.
