Nathan Edwards holds a Graduate degree in Electronic Music and New Media Technology from Northern Illinois University, and a degree in Recording Technology and Music Business from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. He is currently an instructor of Audio Technology in the Digital Arts and Design program at Dakota State University in Madison, South Dakota. In addition to his extensive training in composition and electronic music production, he has done work in location recording, MIDI systems, piano and vocal performance, digital video production, graphic design, music merchandising, and live music management. He has engineered numerous albums by national and regional touring artists including the album, “Dusk Came Slow” by John Statz, which won the Madison Area Music Awards Folk/Americana Album of the Year in 2007. His compositions have also been presented at several Electro-acoustic festivals including the CHAT Festival at the University of North Carolina, and Electronic Music Midwest at Lewis University near Chicago. He is a member of the Society for Electro-Acoustic Music (SEAMUS) and has been published in their newsletter. Other memberships include Vox Novus, the College Music Society, and the NIU Annex Computer Music Group. He previously taught Audio Technology courses at the Illinois Institute of Art in Schaumburg.
