I'm a British composer and musician living in New York City. I write, produce & perform music for theatre, film, television, radio and new media.
Drawing from a rich variety of genres my music can be as driving and persuasive as it can be lyrical and sensitive. Strong melodic lines and captivating harmonic progressions all contribute to the telling of a story.
I was born in Leicester (UK) and studied music at the University of Leeds, graduating in 1995. A solid background in pop songwriting and production led me to work primarily as a composer and producer, with stints as an educator and performer, around the UK and Europe, before relocating to New York to study the crafty art of musical theatre writing.
My work has been used in a variety of genres, spanning film, chart/dance, and children's music. Currently I'm working on the score for a new musical 'Academia Nuts', a second album of relaxation music, and a set of 10 experimental works that each use only one sample and a good dose of creative sound mangling. I am of course always open to shelving the idea of rest for the highest bidder.
When I can separate myself from Logic my interests include yoga, travel and jumping out of planes for no good reason.
