1961 born in Schwäbisch Hall, Germany. Lives and works in Berlin
1986-89 Studied at Staedtische Akademie für Tonkunst Darmstadt Composition with Toni Voelker and 1990-94 Composition studies with Helmut Lachenman at the Stuttgart Conservatory. Also Composition seminar with Boguslaw Schäffer, Isang Yun and Gottfried Michael Koenig.
Since 1996 among composition of chamber and orchestral music collaboration with film, theater and visual arts. Founding member of the interdisciplinary artist group WEISS Kunstbewegung. Manager and art director of the Berlin festival for contemporary music “Klangwerkstatt”.and various transmedia group projects. Since 2009 art directot of the festival for contemporary music Klangwerkstatt Berlin.
Lectures and seminars amongst others at Columbia University, Department of Music New York City and Humbold University
Concerts and recordings of various radio stations both at home and abroad. Noumerous prices and scholarships among others Prix de Rome at the Accademia Tedesca Villa Massimo Rome 2003 and Scholarship from the Heinrich-Strobel-Stiftung Freiburg 2004
