Born in 1957 in Chemnitz, Saxony. The first guitar lessons at the age of 9 years.
Guitarist in numerous bands. Guitar studies at the Hochschule for Musik Cologne, Wuppertal with Prof. Dieter Kreidler, mandolin studies with Professor Marga Wilden-Hüsgen, music education with Professor Karl-Heinz Zarius.
Since 1978 teaching at the School of Music Monheim (Rhineland). Numerous compositions for
Mandolin, guitar and mandolin orchestra. Edits numerous Gitarrencontinuos, wrote a c Mandolin school for children.
Specialization as a continuo player and accompanist on historical plucked instruments.
1991 - 2007 work as korrepetitor at the University of Music Cologne, Wuppertal
Lecturer at numerous training courses including the Federation of German Zupfmusiker (BDZ) in Germany, the Netherlands and Luxembourg.
2009 winner of the Herbert Baumann composition competition Concerts with the Ensemble for Early Music in Aachen „Capella Aquisgrana "under the direction of Marga Wilden-Hüsgen and with the" Duetto gentile "with the Dutch Mandolinplayer Leoniek Hermans.
