Wayland Rogers, a singer, conductor and teacher as well as a composer was born December 26, 1941 in Kentucky and trained at University of Kentucky, Wichita State University, Northwestern University, The Salzburg Mozarteum, and in London. Many of his 150 compositions have been commissioned and are primarily for voices.
His publishers are Boosey and Hawkes, Alliance Music Publications, Graphite Publications, Jackman Music, Thomas House Publications and WR Editions.

Presently he is Music Director at North Shore Unitarian Church in Deerfield, IL. He has held faculty appointments at North Park University, Northwestern University, DePaul University, Loyola University/Chicago, and The Music Institute of Chicago.
