Edward Ratliff is a New York City-based composer and multi-instrumentalist who performs on cornet, accordion, trombone, trumpet and euphonium.
His music is cinematic, cosmopolitan, and very visual. It's inspired by many diverse things, including Hong Kong movies, jazz, tangos, boleros, cooking, the golden age of Hollywood, 18th-century Bohemian wind music, Vietnamese pop music, and free-ranging grooves.
Edward has led his bands at international festivals and clubs throughout New York City and in Europe and Asia. His music is also heard on television on HBO, Nickelodeon, the Discovery Channel, ABC Family, MTV, VH1 and more — everything from a biography of Dostoyevsky to Real Sex Xtra.
