David Madeira is an internationally performed composer, conductor, and university instructor residing in Nashville, Tennessee. He is the Associate Director of Music and Choirmaster at St. Bartholomew’s Episcopal Church where his adult chamber choir gives numerous performances and Sunday offerings throughout the year. David also teaches music theory and aural skills at Belmont University, with courses ranging from Music Fundamentals to Post-Tonal Theory. Notable performances include broadcasts on NPR and PBS, as well as a featured performance at the Percussive Arts Society International Convention, and he has completed numerous commissions for various university, church, and professional organizations as well as for individual performers. He resides just South of Nashville in Franklin, TN, with his wife Elizabeth.
