She took her piano and composition diplomas at S.Cecilia Conservatory in Rome and then she followed the advanced course held by Goffredo Petrassi at S.Cecilia Academy. Has won several national and international composition competitions (Gaudeamus 1982, ISCM Budapest 1986, Iscm Essen 1995). She has written more then 90 workd publishes by Ricordi, RaiTrade and Sconfinarte; several of these have been recorded by Ricordi, Unmus. Tirreno, RCA, Niccolò etc.
Has been invited to the most important Festivals in the world and her works have been plaied in presigious venues like Centre Pompidou in Paris, Carnegie Hall in New York, Mozarteum, Concertgebouw, Ferenc Liszt Academy, Sibelius Academy, Teatro Real de Madrid,Teatro "La Fenice" in Venice etc. Has been adviser of Venice Biennale, Art Director of the lyric theater in Ascoli Piceno and since 1978 is the Art Director of the Contemporary Music Festival "Nuovi Spazi Musicali" in Rome.
