Richard Charlton is widely recognised as one of Australia’s leading composers with works published internationally and his music appearing on more than 30 CDs. In 2004 he won the APRA/AMC Classical Music Award for Instrumental Work of the Year and his music is frequently heard on ABC Classic-FM. Principally known for his guitar music a 2005 review in the UK magazine Classical Guitar described him as, “producing some of the most inspired and accessible works of the present era.”
