In 2010, Joneleit’s world premiere opera METANOIA opened the Schiller Theater for Staatsoper Berlin under the baton of Daniel Barenboim.
Shaped by the ideas of artistic discontinuity, Joneleit creates each new painting series, musical composition or film project with a fresh eye. Of course, he uses all that he already knows, combines that knowledge with his ideas of the present and mixes them together in order to find out what he does not know. Joneleit feels free to seek his own voice in the maelstrom of modern life, which endeavors to be of the utmost importance to his prolific oeuvre.
