Carol Worthey's heartfelt, passionate concert music for chamber, orchestra, theatre and voice has been performed throughout Europe, Asia and the US by top performers at such venues as Carnegie Hall, St. Martin-in-The-Fields, Beijing Conservatory, Los Angeles Music Center and Italian Brass Week. Her mentors include Darius Milhaud, Vincent Persichetti, Walter Piston, Otto Luening, Dick Grove (for Jazz Studies), and family friend Leonard Bernstein. Also a painter and writer, her book Turning Life into Art: How A Composer Works has a chapter with quotes from 66 renowned contemporary composers.
