He was born in Greece in 1979. He has taken part in numerous music ensembles as an instrumentalist and as an arranger/orchestrator. He blends in his compositions heterogeneous elements such as contemporary harmony, mixed means with folk Balkan scales and rhythms, while he has an inclination for mixing electronic and acoustic means. His compositions are usually inspired by other arts or philosophical ideas and create an environment with intense conceptual obsessions. Thus in 2003 he founded the contemporary music-multimedia ensemble Cirquito creating and performing multimedia shows. He has been commissioned to compose/arrange/orchestrate chamber music, music for mixed means, for orchestra, for chorus, for theatre, short films and documentaries and his music has been performed in various venues in the UK, Italy and in Greece.
He has founded the cultural collective 7 Points Creative Expression that organizes cultural events and festivals. He is the artistic director at the annual IONIO CLASSICAL MUSIC FESTIVAL PAOLO CARRER and at the Centre of Music Research and Education (CMRE) in which he teaches music theory, harmony, counterpoint, orchestration, composition and music technology.
