One of Rosco' quests as a composer has been to extensively study the techniques established by 20th Century composers. The niche she has strived to fill, is writing music in this idiom to develop the visual, aural and tactile senses as well as artistic skills of young musicians so that when they reach the levels of advanced literature, they are better prepared.

Throughout her musical career, Ms Rosco has served in various capacities for professional organizations. She has served in various positions of the Music Teachers' National Association at Chapter, State and Division levels. Among these appointments she has served as Composition Coordinator for both the State of California and the Southwest Division while residing in Los Angeles. Most recently she has just finished a four year term as MTNA Northwest Division Composition Coordinator while residing in the Seattle area.

B. J. Rosco has an established professional music studio where she offers private training in piano, composition and classes in performance, music awareness and theory. Ms Rosco's students have won high awards in various competitions for both composition and piano. She is an active adjudicator and clinician for lecture-recitals and workshops.
