Jazz pianist/Steinway Artist, Composer, lyricist and teacher, Lenore Raphael is an internationally renowned player who has been critically acclaimed for her hard-swinging mainstream and bebop performances. She has won ASCAP awards for jazz compositions, and her original music has been heard on radio stations globally. Her performances at such famed jazz venues as Jazz At Lincoln Center, Ronnie Scott's, The Ottawa International Jazz Festival, The S.S. Oosterdam Floating Jazz Cruise, East Coast Jazz Festival, have been sold out. Her tribute to Oscar Peterson at the International Assn for Jazz Education Convention in Toronto was a huge success. Her original music has been heard on the jazz stream on Continental Airlines. As a jazz teacher/clinician she has done Master Classes internationally at All-Steinway schools, including East TN State U, Montclair State U, Florida Atlantic U, Denver School for the Arts, The Orange County Performing Arts Center, and many more.
Lenore also has her own radio show called "Lenore Raphael's JazzSpot" where she interviews and performs with some of the greats of jazz such as Jon Hendricks, Warren Vache, Bucky Pizzarelli, Howard Alden, Jay Leonhart, and many more.
Lenore's 2006 recording "Invitation" was up for GRAMMY nomination consideration and was in the TOP TEN play on jazz stations for weeks.
