Paul Novotny is a jazz bass player/composer and VP of Triplet Records Inc.Awards include 3 Juno nominations and one Juno win. He has also composed for media- CBC The National, CBC George Stroumboulopoulos, CBC News Now, Suzuki, Velemints, Scotia Bank, CN Tower, Simmons and more. Paul has written music for several feature films (Blue Monkey, Relative Secrets, No Angel) and short films (Shiva, Skate Date, The Armoury) as well. Paul's latest album release with his partner Joe Sealy is titled "Songs". Novotny wrote "Sweet Lorraine Robbin", "The Bear" and "The Railway Porters Song". TRWPS is a collaboration with Canadian lyricist Dan Hill and speaks about the history of Canadian railway porters. (Oscar Peterson's father was a porter) Paul can frequently be heard playing in Jazz clubs in Toronto.
