Holmer Becker
was born on January 30, 1955 in Fürth/Bavaria.
He studied composition with Gottfried Müller and received the prize for composition from the "Theaterverein Fürth e. V."
He has composed works for soli, choir and orchestra as well as orchestra alone, solo instrument and orchestra, chamber music and choir a cappella. He has also written vocal music.
Many of his compositions have been broadcast over radio and recorded on CD. His music is frequently played in Germany, England, France, Austria, Poland, Switzerland, Slovenia, Spain as well as in Japan and South America.
Holmer Becker has written commissions for Graham Wade, Josef Blank, Norman Weidmann, Monica von Saalfeld, Othmar Mueller, Susanna Artzt, the KlangKonzepteEnsemble and others.
