Hi, I am a songwriter from the UK, based near London. Having played in a band for over 10 years, I felt it was time to hang up my drum sticks. So, for the last 4 years I have been working in my studio, creating a number of new songs/lyrics and producing those ideas into 'finished' pieces. Though as Quincy reportedly said 'it's not that they are ever finished, they are just abandoned!'
I find it rewarding to write in many genres, so the songs range from jazz ballads to pop/rock, from chillout to MOR radio-friendly.
In 2006,the song 'People' was highly commended in the USA songwriting competition, and made the SEMIS in the UK Songwriting Competition.
In 2007, I made the FINALS of the International Unisong Competition, with 'There's More To Life' in the 'show song' category, and SIX further songs made the SEMIS in the UK Songwriting Competition.
In 2008, I had a further FIVE songs make the SEMIS in the UK Songwriting Competition.
In 2009, I have obtained another SEVEN songs making the SEMIS in the UK Songwriting Competition, including 2 that were borderline for achieving final placements.
Over the past two years I have been offered contracts from three publishing companies in the USA for a total of 14 songs. However sometimes you have to hold out for the right contract!
2010 Signed contracts for 3 songs with Rock Talk Music in California. Turns out to be another dead end!
